Bulk Procurement
01 / 05Q01 How is volume tier pricing calculated for bulk orders?
Pricing follows four published tiers -- 1-5 t (trial), 6-20 t, 21-100 t and 100 t+ (contract). Each tier applies a fixed discount to the daily list price, so a 21-tonne order of Q235B 40×40×2.0mm square tube lands around $594/t FOB Qingdao versus $715/t list.
Because we are the mill, there is no trading layer added to the quote. Final pricing is locked at the moment of inquiry and held for 3 working days.
Q02 Can I mix several product categories in one container?
Yes. Consolidated multi-product loading is standard practice for us -- square tube, round pipe, plate and section steel can share one 20'GP or 40'HQ. Our loading team calculates weight distribution and bundling so you maximise payload without exceeding container limits.
Q03 Do you run an exclusive program for long-term partners?
Buyers with annual volume above USD 500K qualify for the partner program: locked quarterly pricing, reserved stock allocation for agreed specifications, priority production slots and regional exclusivity where the market allows.
Q04 What information should a request for quotation include?
Send us a spec list with: product type, dimensions and wall thickness, steel grade or standard (Q195-Q690 / ASTM A500 / EN 10219 / JIS G3466), surface treatment, length, tonnage per item, destination port and target monthly volume.
With that list our export team returns pricing, stock status, lead time and the full documentation plan within 12 hours.
Q05 Are you a mill or a trading company?
Shandong Xin Jiyuan Special Steel Tube Co., Ltd is a manufacturer founded in 2013 in Jinan, Shandong. We operate 3 production lines with a combined monthly capacity above 20,000 tons and hold ready stock across 2,800+ specifications. Factory visits and video audits are welcome.
Q06 Can you produce to a customer drawing or OEM specification?
Yes. Beyond standard mill products we supply structural fabrication and machined parts -- cutting, drilling, bevelling, welding and galvanizing to drawing. Send DWG or PDF drawings with tolerance requirements and we will confirm feasibility, tooling cost and lead time.
MOQ & Volume
02 / 05Q01 What is the minimum order quantity?
Ready-stock specifications start at 1 ton for trial orders. Custom sizes and non-standard grades require 5-10 tons per item so we can justify a roll change on the production line.
Q02 Is there an MOQ per specification inside a mixed order?
For stock items there is no per-item minimum -- a single bundle is acceptable as long as the total order reaches 1 ton. For made-to-order items each specification must reach its own production minimum.
Q03 Do trial orders get the same quality standard?
Identical. Trial tonnage is drawn from the same heat batches as bulk orders and ships with the same original mill test certificate. Trial pricing sits one tier higher, which is the only difference.
Q04 Can annual contract volume be released in monthly batches?
Yes. Contract buyers commit to an annual tonnage and call off shipments monthly or quarterly. Tier pricing is applied against the contracted annual volume, not the size of the individual release.
Q05 What tonnage fits in a standard container?
A 20'GP normally carries 24-26 tons of tube or section steel; a 40'HQ is volume-limited and usually loads 22-27 tons depending on wall thickness and bundle geometry. We confirm exact loading plans before booking space.
Payment Terms
03 / 05Q01 Which payment methods do you accept?
Standard terms are T/T 30% deposit with the 70% balance settled against a copy bill of lading. We also accept irrevocable L/C at sight from acceptable banks, and D/P terms for approved long-term partners. All settlements are in USD unless agreed otherwise.
Q02 How long is a quoted price valid?
Spot quotations are valid for 3 working days because billet and coil prices move daily. Partner-program buyers receive quarterly locked pricing that is not affected by short-term market swings.
Q03 Is credit available for repeat buyers?
After three settled shipments we can review open-account or extended L/C terms, subject to credit assessment and trade-insurance coverage. Terms are documented in a framework supply agreement.
Q04 Which trade terms do you quote?
EXW Jinan, FOB Qingdao/Tianjin, CFR and CIF to your destination port. CIF quotations include marine insurance at 110% of invoice value.
Q05 How is the final invoice weight determined?
Invoicing is based on actual weighed weight from our certified yard scale, recorded bundle by bundle on the packing list. Theoretical weight can be used instead when the contract specifies it -- the basis is always stated on the proforma invoice.
Delivery & Logistics
04 / 05Q01 What is the typical lead time?
Ready-stock items ship in 3-10 days depending on order tier. Custom production runs 15-25 days from deposit receipt, and large contract volumes are scheduled across our three lines to hold that window.
Q02 Which ports do you ship from?
Qingdao is our main loading port, with Tianjin, Lianyungang and Shanghai used when routing or freight rates favour them. Inland haulage from the Jinan yard to port is arranged by us on FOB and above.
Q03 Are split shipments possible?
Yes. Urgent stock items can leave first while made-to-order lines finish production, with each shipment invoiced and documented separately. Freight difference, if any, is agreed in advance.
Q04 Which export documents are provided?
Commercial invoice, packing list with bundle weights, bill of lading, mill test certificates and certificate of origin (Form A, Form E, CO as applicable). Fumigation, insurance and legalised documents are prepared on request.
Q05 How is the steel packed for sea freight?
Standard packing is steel-strapped bundles with plastic end caps and anti-rust oil. Waterproof wrapping, woven fabric, wooden pallets and custom bundle marking are available for buyers with retail or distribution requirements.
Q06 Can I track production and shipping progress?
Every order is assigned a dedicated export coordinator who sends production photos at key stages, loading photos before container sealing, and vessel details with ETA once the B/L is issued.
Quality Acceptance
05 / 05Q01 Which certifications does the factory hold?
ISO 9001:2015 quality management, Lloyd's CE marking under EN 10210 / EN 10219, and Factory Production Control (FPC) certification. Copies are issued with the first shipment and on request at any time.
Q02 Do you accept third-party inspection?
Yes -- SGS, BV, TÜV, Intertek or your own inspector may attend before loading. We arrange yard access, sampling and witness testing at no extra charge; the inspection fee itself is normally paid by the buyer.
Q03 What tests are covered by the mill test certificate?
Chemical composition, yield and tensile strength, elongation, flattening or bending test, hydrostatic or eddy-current test for welded pipe, plus dimensional and weight records -- all traceable to the heat number stamped on the bundle tag.
Q04 What tolerances apply to dimensions and weight?
Tolerances follow the ordered standard -- EN 10219, ASTM A500, JIS G3466 or GB/T. Tighter tolerances on thickness, straightness or length can be produced on request and are then written into the contract as the acceptance basis.
Q05 How are quality claims handled after arrival?
Report the issue within 15 days of discharge with photos, bundle tags and the heat number. We trace the batch internally and, where the claim is confirmed, settle by replacement in the next shipment or credit against the following invoice.
